EJ Automotive was born in 2008 to race in the Benelux Formula Ford Championship. At first it competed in the second division “Zetec” class, but in 2012 the team became the official partner for the British Ray Formula Ford constructor and entered the main championship for “Duratec” powered cars.

Sadly in 2013 Ford cancelled the support for the championship and the team decided to enter the classic Formula Ford scene for a few years, mainly competing in the UK. At the same time the team provided logistical and technical support for different championship in the Benelux.

The winter of 2015/2016 brought a fresh start for the team, with the purchase of a VW Fun Cup twin seater race car. More touring car action came in 2017 with a late deal to enter the Benelux Renault Clio Cup championship. What started out as a one-off event for Spa-Francorchamps, became an almost full season campaign, and netted the vice-championship in both the drivers and team championship!

After a successful 2019 debut in the Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup Benelux, the 2020 season, proved the team can mount a championship charge! With junior driver Milan de Laet finishing in the runners-up spot with multiple podiums and pole positions in the ultra-competitive Fiesta Sprint Cup.

In 2021, EJ Automotive, proved to be on of the teams to beat in the Ford Fiesta Sprint cup! Wins, fastest laps and pole positions made for a championship win in Holland, double vice-championship in Belgium and vice-championship overall!

In 2024 the team will compete again in the Belcar Sprint Cup with the BMW E46 325i. In addition, an extensive test program is planned with the recently purchased Renault Clio 5 Cup car.

Furthermore, the Ginetta G55 GT4 is available for testing or a racing program.

The team is available for race support for owner/drivers in various championships.
